Description

HydriShield PA 15 HP is an aqueous mixture of peroxyacetic acid (PAA) and hydrogen peroxide.

Benefits

HydriShield PA 15 HP is an antimicrobial processing aid that may be used in various food intervention applications with high maximum use limits. HydriShield PA 15 HP has a relatively high level of hydrogen peroxide compared to other products on the market, which may be desirable for certain applications such as red meat. With a high level of hydrogen peroxide, HydriShield PA 15 HP will give an added boost in performance.

Applications

HydriShield PA 15 HP may be used as an antimicrobial agent in various food contact applications, in accordance with FCN 2274 (replaces FCN 1872 and FCN 2070). Food contact applications include meat, poultry, pre-formed meat, pre-formed poultry, fruits and vegetables, fish and seafood, sauces or marinades for meat and poultry, shell egg washing, boiled, peeled eggs, and tempering of grains.

MEAT APPLICATIONS
May be used in process water and ice used to spray, wash, rinse, or dip meat carcasses, parts, trim, and organs; and in chiller water for meat carcasses, parts, trim, and organs.

 

POULTRY APPLICATIONS
May be used in process water and ice used to spray, wash, rinse, or dip poultry carcasses, parts, trim, and organs; and in chiller water, low-temperature immersion baths (e.g. less than 40 °F), or scald water for poultry carcasses, parts, trim, and organs.

 

PROCESSED AND PRE-FORMED MEAT APPLICATIONS
May be used in water, brine, and ice for washing, rinsing, or cooling of processed or pre-formed meat products.

 

PROCESSED AND PRE-FORMED POULTRY APPLICATIONS
May be used in water, brine, and ice for washing, rinsing, or cooling of processed and pre-formed poultry products.

 

FRUIT AND VEGETABLE APPLICATIONS
May be used in water and ice used for washing or chilling fruits and vegetables in a food processing facility.

 

FISH AND SEAFOOD APPLICATIONS
May be used in process water and ice used to commercially prepare fish and seafood.

 

BRINE, SAUCE, AND MARINADE APPLICATIONS
May be used in brines, sauces, and marinades applied either on the surface or injected into processed or unprocessed, cooked or uncooked, whole or cut poultry parts and pieces.

 

SHELL EGG APPLICATIONS
May be used in process water for washing shell eggs.

 

HARD BOILED, PEELED EGG APPLICATIONS
May be used in spray, wash, dip, rinse, mist, or chiller water for hard boiled, peeled eggs.
