Extender Pigments:

Extender pigments such as calcium carbonate or talc are used to increase the volume of the coating or ink without significantly affecting its properties.

  • Reduce cost
  • Improve opacity
  • Increase volume solids
  • Enhance rheological properties

Fatty Acids:

Fatty acids, derived from natural oils or fats, are used as emulsifiers, dispersants, or corrosion inhibitors in the production of paints, coatings, inks, and adhesives.

  • Facilitate emulsion stability
  • Enhance pigment dispersion
  • Improve wetting properties
  • Provide corrosion protection

Flocculants are often used in wastewater treatment processes associated with paint, coatings, ink, and adhesives manufacturing to facilitate the settling of suspended solids.

  • Improve clarity and quality of wastewater effluent
  • Enhance solid-liquid separation efficiency
  • Aid in the removal of contaminants

Glycols, such as ethylene glycol or propylene glycol, serve as solvents, humectants, or coalescing agents in the formulation of water-based paints, coatings, inks, and adhesives.

  • Enhance viscosity control
  • Improve freeze-thaw stability
  • Promote film formation
