Sodium dichromate is an oxidizing agent and has multiple industrial uses. Sodium dichromate is used in pigment manufacturing, metal treating, and oil-well drilling. Other sodium dichromate applications include use in many organic syntheses, preparation of colored glasses and glazes, and preparation of other chromium compounds.
