Sodium acetate has a wide range of industrial applications. Sodium acetate is used in the textile industry and is used in heating pads, hand warmers, pharmaceuticals, and synthetic rubber production. Sodium acetate can also be used as a concrete sealant, food additive, and can act as buffer to sustain pH levels in biochemical applications.

Compatibilities

Sodium acetate is compatible with other acetates, sulfates, sulfites, thiosulfates, and phosphates. Sodium acetate is not compatible with strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, and fluorine. Please see SDS for full safety and compatibility information.
