Diethylene glycol is a widely used solvent and building block for organic synthesis and polymerization. It is used in the production of polyesters, polyurethanes, and plasticizers. As a solvent, it is used in resins, dyes, oils, and for other organic compounds. Due to its hygroscopic properties it is sometimes used as a humectant in printing ink and adhesives.
Compatibilities
