Description
Hydri-Maize Color Guard is a concentrated proprietary reducing agent that is effective in preventing darkening of syrup and Dried Distiller’s Grains with Solubles (DDGs) after the removal of oil in ethanol production processes.

Applications
- Use in thin stillage processing streams to mitigate effect of the Maillard reaction on DDGs Hunter L*A*B* color
- Usage rates vary between 0.1% – 0.5% of flow based on current Hunter L* values
- 316-L Stainless Steel, Polyethylene and Fiberglass can be used safely
- Suggested storage temperature of containers is at or above 50 °F. Do not freeze.
