Kugler Co. and Hydrite Chemical Co. Announce ATS Agreement
A reliable supply of high quality ammonium thiosulphate (ATS) will soon be available to ag producers throughout the Upper Midwest as a result of a long-term agreement between Nebraska-based Kugler Co. and Wisconsin-based Hydrite Chemical Co.
Initially, the focus will be on the manufacturing and distribution of ATS, a basic component of fertilizer products for agriculture and turf use. ATS will be marketed to fertilizer dealers and applicators across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa and Indiana.
Kugler Co. has developed a proprietary manufacturing process for ATS that it has used in its market-leading liquid fertilizer products for more than 25 years.
“This agreement will allow Kugler Co. to provide our high quality ATS to fertilizer dealers throughout an even larger ag market,” said John Kugler, Kugler Co. Co-President. “Hydrite Chemical Co. has the manufacturing processes and footprint in this region that will allow us to grow our business while maintaining the product quality, consistency and performance that Kugler is known for across the Midwest.”
“With Hydrite's market presence, distribution network and manufacturing facilities, we see an opportunity to grow our business in the agriculture sector–and Kugler Co.'s track record of innovation and performance is aligned with our vision of the future,” said Kevin Honkamp, Sulfur Business Manager for Hydrite Chemical Co. “We are very pleased and excited to enter into a long-term agreement with a family-owned company similar to ours that has proven its commitment to quality and customer service over generations.”
