Ewing Joins Hydrite Chemical Co.

Hydrite Chemical Co. is pleased to announce the addition of David Ewing as the East Region Director for Hydrite Chemical Co's Food Group. Ewing's primary responsibilities will be to coordinate sales and service activities in the company's east region.

Ewing comes to Hydrite Chemical Co. from Foremost Farms USA where he was their Director of Operations. Previously, he was an area vice president with Ecolab. He also worked as a production supervisor/sanitation at Foremost Farms' Richland Center, of which he is a native.

Kugler Co. and Hydrite Chemical Co. Announce ATS Agreement

A reliable supply of high quality ammonium thiosulphate (ATS) will soon be available to ag producers throughout the Upper Midwest as a result of a long-term agreement between Nebraska-based Kugler Co. and Wisconsin-based Hydrite Chemical Co..

Initially, the focus will be on the manufacturing and distribution of ATS, a basic component of fertilizer products for agriculture and turf use. ATS will be marketed to fertilizer dealers and applicators across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa and Indiana.

Kugler Co. has developed a proprietary manufacturing process for ATS that it has used in its market-leading liquid fertilizer products for more than 25 years.

“This agreement will allow Kugler Co. to provide our high quality ATS to fertilizer dealers throughout an even larger ag market,” said John Kugler, Kugler Co. Brookfield, WI – July 25, 2011 — Hydrite Chemical Co. announced today that they have purchased Choice Chemical Inc. in Visalia, California. The acquisition, finalized on July 15, 2011, will bring together two respected names in the chemical industry to benefit both companies’ customers. Hydrite Chemical Co. To Expand Food Industry Offering With New Location

BROOKFIELD, WISCONSIN – June 14, 2011 — Hydrite Chemical Co. has purchased a new facility in Milwaukee, WI to help support their growth in chemical manufacturing.

The facility, which was previously the home of Unilever Foodsolutions, will be one of the facilities to manufacture chemical solutions to the food industry. The facility, built in 1991, boasts 133,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and 15,000 sq. ft. of office space.

“With the additional location and square footage of manufacturing space, we can be ready for the growth we've positioned ourselves for in the food industry,” said Joe Weishar, Hydrite Chemical Co.’s Vice President of Operations.

Hydrite Chemical Co. Announces Graphic Arts Price Increase

Effective February 1, 2011 Hydrite Chemical Co. will be increasing list and off-list pricing for Lucidene™ emulsions and Morcryl™ solutions by $0.04/lb to $0.06/lb. The price increase will be based on raw material components used in the production of the Lucidene and Morcryl products.
